As DermaScar is a gel, it can be easily applied to most parts of the body including the face and over joints (knees and elbows). As DermaScar forms a moisture resistant but breathable barrier, just like a “second skin”, it does not cause unsightly maceration – where the skin becomes pale, moist, wrinkled and soggy, as can occur after using an adhesive bandage over a minor cut. As the invisible barrier created by DermaScar lasts for up to 12 hours on the skin, it only needs to be applied twice per day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
Precautions:
DermaScar is for external use only – it should not be applied to open or fresh wounds, placed in contact with mucous membranes or too close to the eyes. DermaScar should not be applied over antibiotic skin preparations or other skin treatments or products. DermaScar should only be applied to closed wounds, and not applied to open or wet wounds. Do not use DermaScar in conjunction with other skin medications without first seeking the advice of your doctor.
