Since its launch in 1979, Benzac® (benzoyl peroxide) has offered an effective treatment for acne.
In 1989, another groundbreaking innovation strengthened the product’s unique and original benefits. Benzoyl peroxide was combined with copolymer acrylates, which capture sebum and moisturise the skin.
Benzac AC® is a water-based benzoyl peroxide treatment for mild to moderate acne. It is fast and effective and proven to reduce bacteria by 94%* and within 48 hours** of commencing treatment. Benzac AC® absorbs excess oil, kills bacteria and does not excessively dry skin. It also offers the convenience and flexibility of multiple strengths.
Benzac AC® gel 2.5%.
Benzac AC® gel is a water-based gel that aids the treatment of acne. 2.5% is the mildest strength in the range.
Benzac AC® products contain an acrylates copolymer. Acrylates copolymers are tiny highly porous beads that are so porous they can absorb up to four times their own weight in fluid. They soak up certain liquids quickly and easily, but are selective about what they can absorb. They can rapidly absorb oils, however, they can’t absorb water because water has a very high surface tension.
Also contains glycerin, which lubricates the skin, imparting a feeling of smoothness and softness.
